Data Analyst & Visualization Specialist at The Convive Collective

We are seeking a Data Analyst & Visualization Specialist to join our team in 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out a mix of qualitative and quantitative analyses in support of Convive projects on a variety of topics including organizational health, philanthropic impact on climate, and deep dives into measuring the ripple effects of specific evaluation or learning initiatives; 

  • Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations, informing both immediate priorities and long-term improvements;

  • Conduct literature reviews or incorporate knowledge on external benchmarks or indicators for our projects (for example: indicators of organizational health from the philanthropic sector); 

  • Create exceptional data visualization materials based on qualitative and quantitative analysis (slide decks, infographics, dashboards, etc.); 

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality throughout the project lifecycle;

  • Work in conjunction with the Convive team and our clients as a thought partner and co-analyzer, including sharing advice and guidance on research design, methodology, frameworks and evaluation plans; 

  • Flexibly support a dynamic and iterative project on a part-time basis.

The role is right for you if you bring: 

  • Previous experience managing a thriving independent freelance practice; 

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, balancing priorities in a part-time role;

  • Deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, ideally within the nonprofit or philanthropy sectors;

  • Ability to create best-in-class and user-friendly data collection tools (surveys, interview guides, focus group guidelines) and manage data visualization and storage processes and platforms (dashboards, databases, etc.); 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to distill complex data into practical recommendations;

  • Superior data visualization and information design skills to turn messy spreadsheets into state-of-the-art data visualizations (mostly working in Microsoft Excel & PPT); 

  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively;

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, NVivo) and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Notion);

  • Knowledge of climate change and philanthropy trends (an advantage but not essential.
