Martien is an expert in translating complicated concepts and information into spectacular visuals that energize, include and engage people. She also supports teams live as a graphic recorder in sensemaking, shared understanding and making visible relations and connections.

Studied Philosophy and Fine Art -both about learning to understand the world and finding ways that make that understanding come about - Martien started her career working at educational organizations; as an Environmental/Sustainability Advisor at the University of Applied Science Utrecht (HU) she started including students in the making of sustainability plans - and found out she loved working with people who are eager to learn. As Policy Advisor of Education at a masters education at the University of Utrecht she was the lead in the process and improvement of quality control and evaluation of education. Her work also included the creation and setting up of (online) courses with experts, moderator of online courses and building (online) teacher and student communities. And as a creative maker now combining her makers’ nature with supporting teams and people that love learning.
